Texas Here to Stay hosting Know Your Rights events
Austin, TX (11/18/2016) – Texas Here to Stay is hosting multiple Know Your Rights events throughout the end of the year. Know Your Rights is a free clinic with presentations and immigration consultations for any individual seeking immigration information and legal services.
The first events will be on November 19, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Travis High School, located at 1211 E. Oltorf St. in Austin; and on December 3, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 5909 Reicher Dr. in Austin.
Immigration attorneys will present information throughout the day on issues relevant to all immigrants, regardless of their immigration status. Volunteers and attorneys will conduct intakes in order to match potential clients with an appropriate organization for a consultation, which will be completed at the event.
Through the free events, THTS aims to inform the immigrant community on their rights and help individuals to navigate the many service providers who can help them with immigration legal needs.
Additional Know Your Rights dates will be held on 10 and 17, with locations to be announced.
